The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed its astonishment and denunciation to the reports circulated by mass media on a new American strategy for Sudan that is based on new encouraging incentives and deterrent sanctions to pressure the government to abide by holding the referendum on the future of south Sudan and implementing the remaining part of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement

 Vice - President of the Republic, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, has appreciated the firm ties between Sudan and South Africa in all domains.This came when Taha received Tuesday at his office in the Republican Palace the visiting delegation of the South African National Congress.The chairperson of the South African delegation acquainted the Vice - President with outcome of their talks with the Sudanese National Congress toward bolstering the relations between the two countries and parties

The Minister of Industry, Dr. Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz, Tuesday inspected the Center for Research and Information and got informed on the efforts for preparing the Industrial Record which will help meeting the country's needs for different commodities. He was also acquainted with the performance of the industrial sector and the Research and Planning Center as work for drawing up the Industrial Map in Khartoum North is about to be finalized

  The National Congress Parties of Sudan and South Africa concluded Tuesday their joint talks at the NC headquarters in Khartoum and agreed to promote the bilateral relations between them in all domains as well as the implementation of joint activities during the coming period. The Presidential Advisor and chairman of the NC External Relations' Sector, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, expressed hope that South Africa will play an important role on the Sudanese issues, especially concerning the referendum and the Conference on the Development of East Sudan

    The Minister of Mining, Dr. Abdul-Bagi Al-Jailani, revealed that preparations are underway to issue act to organize the unorganized mining in the country.This came when the minister met Tuesday the Governor of Central Bank, Dr. Sabir Mohamed Al-Hassan, and reviewed with him the organization of mining and the investment in the field

The Foreign Minister, Ali Ahmed Karti, Sunday received the credentials of the new Ambassador and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Sudan, Abdul-Ghaffar Al-Deeb. The Foreign Minister appreciated the strong and effective role of Egypt in supporting Sudan and its causes. He said that Sudan is looking forward for Egypt to play an effective role in the current vital stage in Sudan history which will witness holding the referendum on the future of south Sudan, as a basic clause of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement
